Painting Fun in Ash Class

July 22, 2025

Today was a splashy, colourful kind of day in Ash Class — we had a painting session and created some amazing artwork together!

We wore our painting aprons, rolled up our sleeves, and picked out our favourite colours. There were big swirly brush strokes, tiny dots, zig-zags, splats and even some handprints! The classroom smelled like paper and paint and laughter.

Some of us painted animals, others made rainbow shapes or patterns that looked like dreams. Our SNAs helped us mix colours and keep our workspaces tidy, and our teacher played music while we painted so it felt like a real art studio.

We were proud of our masterpieces — they’re now hanging up in our classroom gallery for everyone to admire.

What a brilliant creative morning! You can see 6 photos from our painting fun to the right.

Today was a super exciting day in Ash Class — we went on a big adventure to Fota Wildlife Park! We got on the bus, waved goodbye to school, and set off to meet some amazing animals. We saw giraffes with looooong necks nibbling leaves, cheeky monkeys jumping from tree to tree, and even spotted a sleepy tiger having a nap in the sunshine. We had our yummy picnic near the lake, listened to the ducks quacking, and laughed lots with our friends. The SNAs helped us find the best places to look, and our teacher told us fun facts about every animal we saw! By the end of the day, our feet were tired, our bellies were full, and our hearts were happy. What a brilliant day out! See 8 photos we took today to the right.
