Club Cara

Club Cara
Club Cara is a whole-school initiative that brings together pupils from our Post Primary and Multi-Stream classes with our younger children in the ASD classes, creating meaningful opportunities for connection, leadership and friendship across age groups.
Through shared activities such as playing games, visiting the playground, creating art, exploring different areas of the school, and supporting classroom routines, our older students become positive role models and mentors. They learn to adapt their communication, show patience, and develop empathy as they support and encourage the younger children in a natural, fun environment.
For our younger pupils, Club Cara provides valuable opportunities for social interaction, language development, confidence building and emotional regulation. Having familiar older students to play and learn with helps build trust, widen friendship circles, and strengthen their sense of belonging within the wider school community.
For our Post Primary and Multi-Stream students, the experience nurtures leadership skills, responsibility, teamwork and self-confidence. It promotes inclusion, understanding and acceptance, while giving them a genuine sense of pride and achievement.
