On March 15th 2016 every primary school in Ireland raised the Irish flag that had been presented by the State earlier in the year.

The pupils in St Killian's had spent weeks preparing for the day and the students wrote the school proclamation (see below) and 8 students from across the classes read it out on the day in front of the whole school, parents and invited guests. Then we all gathered outside where two of our prefects raised the flag assisted by Mr. Coleman and Ms. O'Connor and everyone sang the National Anthem.

Our Parents Association organised a great celebration feast and Irish flag cake which was enjoyed by all.

We are very proud of our students for what was achieved on the day.
