We really enjoyed joining with four other schools (Scoil Mhuire agus Eoin NS, St. Marks Boys NS, St. Brendans Girls NS and Mayfield Community School) in the Mayfield community for the Digital Showcase. Our students particulary enjoyed programming the BeeBots!

We have been very lucky to Therese O’Keeffe, from Brian Dillons GAA club in Mayfield, coach us each Friday in GAA skills. Therese has been terrific with all the children - even remembering every name! Everyone is really enjoying these sessions.

On Wednesday April 27th, Mayfield Community School came to visit us during Literacy Week and brought some literacy games to play with Willow Maths class. They had great fun with Tia and Marina from TY with Raymond from 2nd year, along with their teacher Siobhan Carne. We hope to do this again shortly.

2019 Confirmation

On Thursday March 14th, 26 of St. Killian’s pupils and 36 pupils from Scoil Mhuire agus Eoin, were conferred by Monsignor Kevin O’Callaghan at our parish church, Our Lady Crowned Mayfield.

It was a beautiful ceremony which was so inclusive of all the children. We were so proud of everyone. Huge thanks to all our staff who worked so hard in preparing the children.

Community Garda visit

Garda Pat Harrington, An Garda Siochana dog handler and our community Guard, Garda Helen Courtney came to visit us with the two Garda dogs, Lazer and Rex. We loved meeting them! Everyone was very excited and we heard all about the great work they do and how they are trained. Everyone got pet them and Garda Harrington showed us how Laser barks on command.

First Aid Room Project

Serve The City Cork recently sent in a team of volunteers to work on our First Aid room. We are very thankful for all their amazing work. New flooring has now been completed and we love the bright welcoming lemon colour of the presses!

Thank you Cory and all your team!
