WW2 Bomb Shelters by Brian Kelleher.

Willow class made bomb shelters out of K’nex and we tested them with a big wheel to see how resistant there were.

Willow was learning about the Blitzkrieg in World War 2. The war started in 1939 and The Blitz was when the German bombers were bombing the British to make them surrender but the British didn’t surrender. The bomb shelters helped to keep them safe. There were two type of shelters - the Anderson and the Morrison. Children went on trains to go to the countryside so they would be safe. The war continued for 6 years until 1945.
